Our school's netball team had an impressive run at the inter school competition held at Parkville Netball and Hockey State Centre, winning 6 out of 9 games. Despite facing tough opponents, we showed great teamwork and determination, with strong defense and effective attack. The experience not only grew our friendship and teamwork but also highlighted our hard work throughout the day, making our victories well-earned and memorable.

On Friday 2 August, eight students from Year 7 and 8 attended the Junior lacrosse day at Melbourne Lacrosse Club's home ground, the Albert Ground in Albert Park. They played seven rounds of 3v3 tri-ball lacrosse against other Catholic schools. MSJ won four and lost three, just missing the semi finals. All players played exceptionally well, giving it their best.

Mount St. Joseph Girls' College encourages students to return to their former primary school and assist with their sporting activties like Netball tournaments or Athletics days. It is a great way for our students to show community spirit and reconnect with their former teachers and school friends.
Last Monday we went to help out with the St Mary’s Athletics carnival. Despite the cold and rainy conditions, we pushed through and had a fun day. We helped out with various events including high jump, long jump, discus, the 100m sprint and the hurdles. Overall it was a great day. It was so nice to help out and see the teachers and students again.

The Futsal tournament was really fun and the facilities were great. All the teams had such good players and we worked so well as a team and that is why we were successful. MSJ were ultimately Division 1 Junior Champions and Frankie Ross was awarded the Grand Final MVP.
