SCSA Division Three - Intermediate Champions
SCSA Division Three - Junior Champions
WE WON!!! Mount St. Joseph participated in the SCSA Indoor cricket. MSJ was split up into 3 groups, Junior, Intermediate and Seniors. I was part of the junior team. The junior team played 3 rounds with 10 overs per game. We had a bye the first round so we got to watch how the other teams played. Round 1 was MSJ vs St. Aloysius. They had played the round before us so we were able to watch how they played the game. Against St Aloysius the team did well and we won 81 points to 60. Round 2 MSJ versed Killester college, we also did well in the 2nd round and won 96-48. Sadly we lost the 3rd round to Ave Maria only by 3 points, 47-50 however that was enough to get the junior team to grand finals. In the grand final we got to play Ave Maria again and we all were so nervous thinking they were going to win again but that's not what happened, we won! They scored 41 and we got 68, which is more than we scored in round 3. The coach and especially the team were so happy. In the end the Junior and Intermediate came first overall and the Seniors ended upcoming fifth.
It was such a great day for all the MSJ students!!

It was a wonderful experience filled with many laughs, karaoke and of course... Cricket! We tried our best and put up a fight for every game that we played. Although the senior team came last we still managed to win one game which we were so proud of! We may not have won on the score sheets but we won the game in our hearts with MSJ spirit and determination.Thank you so much to Mr Piazza, Ms Davies, Mark and Mr Wright for all the hard work they put into organising the day which was a blast! We were extremely proud of the junior and intermediate team for coming first in their division, we cannot wait for next year!!

SCSA Division Three Senior champion - Charlotte Banfield- Lynch
On Friday 12 March the MSJ SCSA Tennis team piled into the school bus bright and early to make our way to the Boroondara Tennis Centre to compete in the SCSA Div 3 Tennis Competition. After we arrived at the Tennis Centre we were ready and raring to go. We had two intermediate doubles teams and an intermediate singles player, we also had two senior double MSJ teams and a senior singles player. The schools that we were up against included Academy of Mary Immaculate, Mercy, St. Aloysius, Marian and St. Marys. In Round one all of the MSJ players were up against Marian, unfortunately we lost most of the games apart from Charlotte who won her seniors singles game 6-0.
After playing four more rounds with mixed results it was finals time. Our MSJ Senior team made it into the semi finals winning 6-3 and 6-0. With the MSJ senior team winning the energy was high as we headed into the grand final. The senior team was up against Marian again in the grand final, with our fingers crossed the doubles team was able to win 6-4, Charlotte, our senior singles player pulled off an amazing win, winning 6-0. Congratulations to the MSJ senior team for winning SCSA Div 3 Senior Competition, and an even bigger congratulations to Charlotte Banfield-Lynch for winning player of the day for the senior category. On behalf of the MSJ SCSA tennis team we would like to thank Ms Bowring, Mr Wright and Michelle for coming along to support us on such an amazing day.
