Rehearsals for this year’s musical, Legally Blonde Jr, are in full swing. This will be the first musical MSJ has been able to produce since before the pandemic. So many of the students missed out on the opportunity to be part of a show and we are thrilled to be able to have a cast of 47 take part this year, covering all year levels across the school. The cast are working hard and having fun as they learn the music, dance routines and work on character development. Rehearsals take place on Wednesday after school to work on larger scenes as well as those with pivotal characters giving up their lunchtimes to continue rehearsals.
Legally Blonde Jr is an adapted version of the original Broadway show, although most people will know the movie! Legally Blonde is a story about a young woman heading off to Harvard for all the wrong reasons only to find her self-belief and strength in the process as well as realising how special true friendship is. The musical will be held on 4-5 August at Altona City Theatre. Stay tuned for updates!
