Student Life > Pathways

The College employs a Pathway Leader who is accessible to students from all year levels and their parents or carers.

Students have access to this expert vocational guidance support as well as online resources and vocational exploration via the College intranet and Pathways website.

All Year 10 students have the opportunity to undertake work experience and extensive pathways advice is incorporated into the subject selection process as students move through to their senior school years. Past students are encouraged to share their career journeys at year level and whole school assemblies and all Year 12 students visit tertiary venues to learn more about the pathways available to them through tertiary study. Students also have access to information from professionals in various career paths via the annual Careers Expo.

Students are encouraged to follow any of the four Victorian senior study pathways of Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE), Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL), Vocational Education and Training (VET) and School Based Apprenticeships.

The breadth of pathways offerings within our school enables students to choose a senior study pathway best suited to their talents and interests and always results in a vast array of career pathways being followed by our students upon graduation.

Students are able to find resources to help them with planning for university, TAFE and subject selection. There are guides on how to navigate VTAC, find work, and even apply for scholarships.

Appointments to meet with the Pathways Leader, are done through the website too. Simply select ‘Appointments’ from the menu and follow the instructions to find an appointment that suits you.
